One of the most valuable lessons I received for my life and business is when one day a coach of mine shared with me a video from Steve Jobs.
Although most people know Steve Jobs, not everyone knows what Im about to share with you.
Back in 2005, Steve Jobs gave a commencement speech to a bunch of lucky graduates from Stanford University. In his very powerful speech, Mr. Jobs shares a few things he believes were key factors that helped him go through some of the biggest challenges in his life and business.
Here are the main lessons I learnt and probably some of the most valuable success tips you could learn and apply for your life and your MLM business.
GET THE RIGHT EDUCATION
Although Steve Jobs dropped out of college he’s always done everything he could to educate himself, even if it meant sleeping on the floor and eating peanuts!! As he says, it is not a specific school or an certificate that made him who he was but the education he provided to himself which was aligned with his passions.
FOLLOW YOUR INTUITION
In his speech, Steve repeatedly says that he chose to follow what fascinated him. In other words, if your curious about something, follow your heart and intuition on it. I believe that to be so true and I think that most people would agree that somehow our heart knows what we want more than our head so as long as we follow our intuition we can’t go wrong. Not always easy to do…right?
CONNECT THE DOT BACKWARDS
Sometimes things happen to us in life and we don’t understand it right away. However, someday we look back and it all make sense.
As Steve Jobs says: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward so you have to trust that somehow the dots will connect in your future
FIND THE LOVE IN YOUR LOSSES
Losses or failures can be our greatest gifts (if we allow it). The important thing to remember is that loss is temporary and is very much a matter of perception. If you want to get over you losses, remember to love what you do and let love guide you and you will always end up winning.
LIVE AS IF YOU’LL DIE TOMORROW
Remembering that you will be dead soon might be the greatest tool to help you make the most important choices in life. Remembering you are going to die could also be the best way to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose and just focus on getting things done.

“Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life!”
“Don’t be trapped by Dogma which is living with the results of other people’s thinking”
“Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown out your own Inner Voice”
“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly what to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Powerful or what!!? I don’t know what you think but I think Steve Jobs commencement speech is a legacy in itself.
